Victoria &Albert Museum
For the second day of our Low Residency Program, Jonathan has arrange a seminar/tour by Melanie Lenz the Patric Prince Curator of Digital Art and Digital Programmes in Victoria and Albert museum. During this tour we had the chance to discover the hidden alleyways of this significant museum that let us to the archives and more precise, the early examples of art made with computer technology.
After few minutes walking thought the Museum,we were escorted to a small room with a huge table right in the middle. On the table,approximately 20 art pieces,were lying on the table,on a chronological order.Our Seminar started with the woman talking through the history ,the artist and the way that each piece was produced.She introducing with the algorithmic and electronic photographs of oscilloscope patterns by Ben Labosky and the screen-prints of photographs by Herbert W. Franke .Some of the artist refered were : A. Michael Noll, Desmond Paul Henry , Harold Coel, Roman Verostko,Mark Wilson,Wiliam Eaker

The day went by really quick,maybe because of the great time we had and all the information we absorbed.Later on in the evening we were all invited by Jonathan,at his house to have dinner.His wife made an amazing effort to prepare a lovely dinner for all the MA students.Everybody appreciated their kindness, hospitality and of course the chefs spesiality , salad sprout couscous !! 🙂
