Photographic series in the Swiss Alps

i have created a ‘gallery’ of really surreal images that seem to have a fairy tale effect. The unearthly body postures and the plafull  beautiful lighting enchant the body transforming it into an alienated mythical creature..

One of the stronger photographs that engages with the conceptual framework that i am currently working is this one below. Two hands are protruding from the torso, reaching out the branches of the spine-like dead tree.  It is as if the two hands are the ‘branches’ of my body.  I love the idea that both hands seem to hold the wooden surface quit tight to ensure that the body wont fall apart.

This particular photograph above really reminds me John Coplans Photographic Artwork,
and specifically the artwork titled ‘Back with Arms Above, 1984’. The Piece depicts the artists torso with two hands protruding. Although the head is hidden, we can tell that the body is one of an older person around its 40 his photographic work the artists photographs different fragments of the body in an attempt to revile the ‘imperfections’ of a body while aging.
